About Tzu Chi Hospital

Tzu Chi Hospital is a private hospital under the auspices of the Tzu Chi Medika Indonesia Buddhist Foundation. The establishment of Tzu Chi Hospital is based on the principles of respecting life, prioritizing health, and spreading compassion. All services at Tzu Chi Hospital emphasize professionalism and a humanistic culture, realized through international-quality healthcare and a warm touch of humanity. The goal is for Indonesian citizens to receive optimal healthcare with comprehensive medical facilities without the need to travel abroad.

 

Tzu Chi Hospital is located in Pantai Indah Kapuk on a 2.6-hectare plot of land. The building covers an area of 136,640 m², consisting of 23 floors with a capacity of up to 576 beds. The hospital structure is designed to withstand earthquakes of up to 9 on the Richter scale and features an environmentally friendly design concept, utilizing sunlight as natural lighting, optimizing clean air circulation, and maximizing greenery in designated areas.

Our Milestones

 

2023

  • June 14, 2023: The inauguration of Tzu Chi Hospital located in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, by the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
  • March 29, 2023: Tzu Chi Hospital has earned a 5-star rating (full accreditation) from the Hospital Quality and Patient Safety Accreditation Institute (LAM-KPRS).

 

2021

  • October 1, 2021: Tzu Chi Hospital expanded its services by opening outpatient and inpatient care.
  • June 14, 2021: Tzu Chi Hospital began operating a Pandemic Ward and admitted its first patient amid the Covid-19 pandemic to support the government’s efforts in handling Covid-19 cases.

 

2015

  • May 31, 2015: The groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start of the construction of Tzu Chi Hospital in Indonesia.
