1. 24-Hour Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Department at Tzu Chi Hospital operates 24 hours a day, providing medication services for outpatients, inpatients, emergency department patients, and those in specialized units (surgical rooms and the Intensive Care Unit). Additionally, the department offers Medication Information Services (PIO) and guidance on medication usage to patients and their families.
Clinical pharmacy services are provided by experienced Clinical Pharmacists and are supported by an integrated hospital information system in the form of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
2. Radiodiagnostic
Tzu Chi Hospital recognizes the critical role of radiology in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring medical conditions using imaging techniques that employ various forms of energy, including X-rays, magnetic fields, and sound waves. Radiodiagnostics are supported by skilled radiology specialists and advanced technology.
The Radiodiagnostics Department at Tzu Chi Hospital offers a wide range of diagnostic imaging services, including:
- Digital X-Ray: Ceiling-mounted, floor-standing, and mobile X-ray units
- CT Scan: 32-slice, 512-slice, and hybrid CT scans integrated with the Operating Room
- MRI: 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla MRI scanners
- Panoramic CBCT
- Dental X-Ray
- Ultrasound (USG)
- Automated Breast Ultrasound Acquisition (ABUS)
- 3D Mammography
- Fluoroscopy
- Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD)
- C-Arm: Robotic and mobile C-Arms
The diagnostic imaging systems at the Radiodiagnostics Department are also integrated into the Electronic Medical Record system, allowing results to be viewed immediately after the examination is completed.
3. Laboratory
The laboratory services at Tzu Chi Hospital provide diagnostic services through the measurement, identification, and testing of clinical specimens to support disease diagnosis and monitor health conditions. The facility offers clinical pathology, anatomical pathology, and clinical microbiology services, each staffed by experienced specialists and supported by competent laboratory technicians.
a. Clinical Pathology Laboratory
Clinical pathology examinations are aimed at analyzing blood, urine, feces, and body fluids to assist in diagnosis, monitor treatment, and track disease progression.
The Clinical Pathology Laboratory provides the following services:
- Hematology
- Clinical Chemistry
- Immunology
- Urinalysis & Body Fluid Analysis
- Molecular Genetics
b. Anatomical Pathology Laboratory
Anatomical pathology examinations diagnose diseases through tissue samples, enabling doctors to provide appropriate care and therapy.
The Anatomical Pathology Laboratory offers the following services:
- Histopathology
- Cytopathology and Immunohistochemistry
- Frozen Section Analysis
- Breast Panel (Immunohistochemistry)
- FNAB (Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy)
c. Clinical Microbiology Laboratory
Microbiology examinations are aimed at diagnosing infectious diseases. The Clinical Microbiology Laboratory identifies infection-causing microbes through culture tests and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
The Clinical Microbiology Laboratory provides the following services:
- BTA/GRAM/KOH
- Culture and Resistance Testing
4. Blood Bank
Blood Bank at Tzu Chi Hospital is responsible for providing blood to meet transfusion needs promptly. With the availability of the Blood Bank, blood storage, inventory management, and quality monitoring are safely managed within the hospital. Tzu Chi Hospital Blood Bank collaborates with regional and central Blood Donation Centers to ensure a steady supply of blood for patients in need.
5. Nutrition Services
Tzu Chi Hospital offers healthy and environmentally friendly vegetarian meal services for all patients and visitors. A vegetarian diet prioritizes plant-based food consumption. Vegetarian food sources are believed to provide nutritional benefits that can aid in faster health recovery when applied with the right dietary patterns.
Our nutrition team comprises experienced experts who assist patients in creating healthy menus for maintaining a balanced and healthy vegetarian lifestyle.
Inpatients will receive personal visits from a nutritionist to help determine their nutritional needs based on the recommendations of their attending physician, tailored to each individual's health condition.
